There are no charges for children under the age of 18 treated within the NHS.

Many patients on Social Security benefit do not have to pay NHS treatment charges. Patients who do not have to pay need to bring proof of exemption with them, for example the small card issued by the Department of Social Security.

Patients who do have to pay will be issued with an estimate of their treatment costs at the beginning of any proposed treatment. If we forget to give you an estimate or if your treatment changes you can ask at any time, either in the surgery or at reception, for an up to date estimate.

Patients who pay for their treatment are expected to pay in full either at or before their last treatment appointment. Patients having treatment involving expensive lab work may be asked for payment before the lab work is fitted.

Failed appointments and cancelations:

Patients who fail to attend treatment appointments may be charged at a rate of £1 for every minute of appointment time wasted.

Patients who cancel appointments at short notice may also be charged.

Patients who repeatedly cancel at short notice or fail to attend risk being deregistered from the practice.
